It's Monday Morning... {not really}

But in my books it is. Even though it's tuesday It feels like a monday, my computer already went wacky this morning and my mouse died. So it feels like a monday. I hope all of you had a fantastic 3 day weekend. I feel like I didn't do "much". We cleaned, lillie had soccer all weekend of course and I got PDW work done. 13 more days of school left, THANK GOODNESS! So today brings lots of boxes to be dropped off at the post office so happy to get our shipping all caught up. June's kit is right around the corner,I am super excited for this one I lOVE the colors. So starting in JUNE we want to bring back weekly topics. What are some topics you wanna see or learn. Let us know! Also we still have plenty of room left for our crop coming up this weekend....YOU should join us...I got my scrapfest class all shipped off for the Mall of America event I LOVE that event so I am really excited to be a part of it again this year. Lots to do...

Is your summer knocking on your door yet? Goodness mine is. School is almost out in the HILL household. I cannot wait. Do any of you have any summer plans. We don't just plan on updating  some major things with PDW which is exciting. We will have our kids camp and summer crop coming up. Starting in September we have all of our kits coming back. Main kits 4 add on kits one of them is a page layout kit and a mini mini kit..cannot wait for you all to see those. Finalized the newsletter, been getting all the photos re-sized for the shop update it takes a allot of time resizing 200+ photos for the store...man we have allot of doo dahs and trims that's for sure. Well I hope you all have a happy thursday, I have a BUSY day in front of me..newsletter..shop..update MB ship packages and drink LOT'S of coffee today!!! I will announce the crop winners tomorrow along with all the prizes..

Hello Friends...

This is in the newsletter to along with information about our kids camp...but I wanted to pass along our Summer crop info..I really hope you can make it...and if you have never been to a whimsy crop well then you in for a treat!!! We have a ton of FUN..and the food is fantastic!!! This will also be over on our website..But I have limited the number of seats so if you wanna come grab your spot..also going on in carlsbad that same weekend is the FAMOUS QUEEN BEE MARKET...so on saturday maybe we can all take a mini trip over to it..it is only about 5 minutes from my house....this crop weekend will be perfect for finalizing grad albums...or just getting all caught up before the summer slump comes when you cant do anything cause your running around with your head off trailing the kids everywhere...lol

Wednesday Already!!!

First off I want to say a HUGE thank you for all your prayers and sweet emails regarding my mom. As of today she is at home and slowly getting her speech back, it is still very slow and her swallowing isn't working a 100%. I will have more on my mom over on my personal blog later today. I just wanted to say THANK YOU and with her stroke last week it really through things up on the air. Like NSD..I had such a fun agenda and awesome prizes and challenges. So since I missed the boat on that one let's do a weekend online crop this weekend { we will start friday and saturday and just a few challenges on sunday since it's mothers day...}. Tomorrow I will post the details and it will all take place over on our message board. I really hope you will join us. Trends...

You know you LOVE them! I do.. always have. I can remember in high school everyone wore guess jeans and zcallvericci's. The only difference between mine and there's is I would hand dye mine a different color so NO one else had them. {lol} I was silly like that. So trends come and go and in the craft industry they come and go allot. We went through the bird phase, the bug phase, the inking phase {well i still ink} and lately it's been banners and scallops. Until recently it has switched up a bit to geometric shapes and CHEVRON STRIPES. Now I personally love the banners and I have forever loved chevron. Years ago { like 7} I bought a chevron punch set and I remember my friends saying well that's weird are you going to do gas station layouts. I kinda feel like all these years scrap-booking and creating I have always looked for the "different" and "unique" not so much trend base but I guess you could say more whimsy. A while back while cleaning out the garage I came across my chevron punch set { I was super giddy} since they don't make that any more, although give it time I am sure one of the big tool company's will come out with a whole geo set. So today I thought I would share with you some chevron yummies I have found on ETSY and give you a challenge. Create a project using something chevron...It's that easy..then upload it to our gallery and on Friday I will pick a random member {who uploaded a project} and I will send you some chevron goodies...{ Please Note: I would LOVE it if you used something from our shop or a past kit but if you don't have anything from PDW please still free to participate as I love looking at all creations...}

Sometimes life just works that way. We all get behind....a one point or another . I think you are doing a great job. Spring break is over for us in Illinois . We took a weekend trip up north. ( Wisconsin. ). Had lots of fun riding ATV 'S . Thank you for a chance to win. The kit looks great !

Yippie a winner..Thank you julie please send me a email @michelle@polkadotwhimsy.com and this will ship out to you on the 7th...So besides a winner what did all of you do this weekend. I tackled PDW and downtown L.A...8 hours of LOT'S of shopping for future kits and a few classes I am teaching later this year...I forgot our rolling cart so poor Evan had to keep taking stuff back to the car. I also ordered some new stuff from a a few vendors on etsy really excited to get some fun different stuff in the kits. I am in the process of gearing up for our NSD...it is going to re-launch our member area message board {at least I hope so}...I really want to get things going over there..SO that is about it on my end. Just being a busy bee..I hope you all have a great weekend!!

Before I get to that though I want to say a few things...ONE, our newsletter just went out and we have a new system so be sure to sign up again if you were signed up for our OLD system {this can also be done from our home page}...THANK YOU!!! and TWO, THANK YOU for all the kind emails regarding a certain something over on a certain message board I am well aware of the issues and I said earlier this year that we were playing catch up. I am not going into detail as to why we got behind but we are NO LONGER behind and are catching everything and everyone up. I cant go and read these threads because well there are many reasons all I am going to FOCUS on is PDW and that's it!! So with that behind me...here is a sneak of May's Main Kit..HELLO MOMENTS....Of course it is filled to the brim with goodies and some new embellishments that I found...PLUS washi tape {a whole roll}...and the most luscious trims..It will be on sale on MAY 1st and SHIP MAY 4th... ;)...

April's Mini Album...

I am in LOVE with this book..and all the pages and tags are all stitched together ofcourse you dont have to sew them if you dont want to.. :) Now all I have to do tonight is add my instagram pictures and some fun stuff...but it is the CUTEST..and the yarn circles I made are going to be a staple in my projects so fun to make...we have a few kits and a few albums kits left also you will get the PDF download on how to create this cute book. So today I got most of my work done so before it rains tomorrow I am off to the wild animal park so my kids can get out for a few hours..instead of lillie instagraming and seth on mind-craft..lol...Enjoy your day!!!{also the rest of march's product came in so I will shipping those orders on WEDNESDAY}..
