Creating...

I am back from SCRAPFEST 2012 and had a wonderful time. I taught a fun mini album in 45 minutes which was NUTS, but I know the ladies loved it and I loved creating the project. I loved being around all the creative people and making notes in my book on how I want to improve my own creativity and the future of PDW. The future of PDW has come up allot in my brain the past few weeks. Where do I want to go with PDW?  What are my GOALS for PDW? How do I revive something that has slowly died? The great thing about being away from your everyday and being with people who "get you" is you have time to answer all your questions in your brain and to just think. That's what I did. I answered them with the small still voice in my heart, and this what I came up with. I LOVE to create bottom line! I LOVE PDW bottom line! I LOVE the satisfaction of sending out orders and wrapping them up so pretty and who ever gets them on the other side loves them just as much! I LOVE pulling a kit together and creating it, I am good at it! What I don't LOVE is a website that has brought me WAY more tears than smiles { i feel so fraud-ed}! I am working on fixing the site to a BRAND NEW one but that will not take place until January. I can't blame the website solely for PDW's lack of growth but let's just say it didn't help when nothing works right. I take more of that blame than anything. As I look back on the last 5 years there have been wonderful times and some horrible times. That is business though and I take it as is. So with all of this my biggest question was HOW DO I MAKE PDW BETTER AND REALLY TRULY GROW IT TO MY GOALS. Well friends that is the million dollar question. I do know the answer and that is what my focus is on RIGHT NOW!!! Growing and being better. A few things I am going to change until we get the new site is I will only keep 3 Design team members including myself. Until we get the new site there is not going to be a GUEST DESIGNER. I am still thinking about our Message board through the ning network, I will keep you posted on that. Most likely I will keep it because i want to do a fall on line crop. Our new message board is going to be AWESOME!! Once the new site launches we will have a DT call fyi. There is going to be some changes in the store front also. That is noted in the newsletter. Lastly what is it in a "kit club" that you want to see. We are bringing back the stamps but they are going to be ala cart since not everyone is a stamper. That also allows me to always put more product in the kits. Do you like page kits, and project kits?? More samples for sure of what to do with the kit once you get it. What about online classes are you into those? You all have supported me for so long and I so appreciate it beyond words...SO please voice your opion or email it me.. :) So that is my tuesday rant of the day...Now you want to see what I taught in MN at scrapfest...

One more thing, We are NOT going anywhere I just have to get us back where we were and I know I can!!

Love the idea of stamps, and I really enjoy the whimsies - I love the stuff from etsy shops that I might not have heard of too.
