I always take a folder/accordian folder with me on vacation. I drop our ticket stubs, brochures, receipts etc into that while we're on vacation. I also have a journal that I take notes in and make a copy of the pages to go in the folder when we get back. Once the photos are printed, I have it all together in one package for when I'm ready to work on that event. I might also put in some crafty supplies that I plan to use on that project if it's just perfect and I want to save it.

What a great way to be organized! I love the velcro folders. And Miriam's idea of keeping your journal pages with it is perfect, too :)

I'm not as good at organizing as all of you gals mine usually ends up in a plastic box!!!

My intention always is to go down the folder/envelope route but in reality it all ends up in a box which makes it a nightmare when trying to match stuff to specific events when i come to use it all.

That's a great idea. I use the big 13x13 zip lock bags that I can only find at Target. EVerything goes in there - my travel journal, photos, receipts, any supplies that I know I am going to use for that project. I also put any creative ideas in there - techniques I want to try or page idea.

i use the plastic envelope pockets too....and i put all receipts, brochures, pictures, postcards, maps, etc in there. then they all go into art bins and WAIT to be scrapped.

I "try" to be organized by using manila folders that I cover like a book with a map of the place visited, circling and/or labeling the main sites as we go. Inside I make extra pockets to hold trip stuff. When/if I get caught up, the folder can be cut to size and used in the travel journal.
