Hello Whimsy friends,
Today is THROWBACK THURSDAY! I think I am going to love this weekly post. I love looking back at all my old scrapbooks and mini albums. Many of them where created when I was traveling and teaching for Lil Davis Designs back in the day. Since it's summer I thought I would share with you a album I made of a mini road trip we went on for Mothers Day. Till this day that Mothers Day trip was my MOST favorite! Looking back at this album made 8 years ago it's funny to see I still have the same "style" I have always loved mixing in different things and creating new ways to use product. So let's take trip down memory lane when my kiddos where little :(. It's a big album so grab a snack or cup of coffee :)..
Gotta LOVE the cover all distressed. You can see I loved glitter even back then. I used Scenic Route paper company in this book, I LOVED them!
I still save cards everywhere we go, and look at the transparency overlay...
Aww SO LITTLE.. now these kids are almost 13 and 16. I loved using regular label stickers to write on.
Stamping and Pop Dots!! You can start to notice I trimmed all the inserts down to create a cascade/waterfall like album.
EEEEKK lol.. It's sad I still have that shirt..lol
Postcard insert! Still buy postcards everywhere we go, Now they make perfect Project Life cards.
Stamping and glitter!
I saved that ice cream wood spoon, painted it and used it to journal..
Index cards,LOVED THOSE. I think in 07-09 I used them in every mini. Think I need to brink those back :)
The backside of the index card. Remember index prints.. I am pretty sure I lived at Sams Club developing 1000 and 1000's of photos.
Oh the tickets, still use those.
Painting and stamping on chipboard. Its hard to find "naked" chipboard shapes anymore.
Stamping on colored masking tape from the teacher supply store before it was cool..lol
Ahhh Lil Davis BOOKPLATES!! Now those I MISS I still have a few that I hoard.
Chipboard insert with a photo on it, that was fun.
Using the hotel stationary for paper.
Pipe cleaners and Heidi Swapps stamps. Still have those. I don't think in those years I taught a class without a pipe cleaner.
Transparency insert. The book is almost over :)
Best strawberries ever.
Oh yes using office supply circle stickers and inking or painting them to create scallops.
A button that I glittered.
That birds polka dots where heat embossed..
Awww cute photo..another chipboard insert.
Then my extras pocket..
Made a pocket using paper.
And that is it, a throwback Thursday down memory lane. So fun looking at that album again. I sure am lucky to be able to create all these years.. So like yesterday I would LOVE to see a scrapbook or craft THROWBACK! #polkadotwhimsytt and share something.. How FUN!
